Where is the Beef?!

Haven’t been out much for anything these days. I’ve even stopped going to the Park ‘n Shop to avoid big line-ups at the cashiers. Alec has been a very good boy in the past 3 weeks while he has been staying home most of the time. He only started complaining last Thursday about how boring it has been. Since he also wanted to have a BBQ, I decided to go to the Park ‘n Shop at 9:00am this morning for some steaks and other groceries, and we just had a BBQ at home this evening.

I bought some Canadian “AAA” Ribeye and other types of meet. Since I had lived in Canada for 15 years, I have always known Alberta Beef is one of the best type of beef in the world. I am not sure exactly which Province these triple A’s are from, but I decided to give them a try.

WOW! Even though the texture is not the snow flake type like the Kobe and other kinds of Japanese beef, and they are even less expensive than Angus or any US Prime Beef, but boy they just melt in the month just like Kobe Beef do! The two big pieces I bought only cost HKD$160, but I am sure Ruth’s Chris would have charged over HKD$900 for them and would not be as good a cut as these. That’s why I’d never eat out for steaks.
