On the 5th day of the 5th Lunar month every year, that’s June 4th this year, Hong Kong hosts quite a few dragon boat races in several districts within the region. For some 27 years, Hong Kong also hosted an International Dragon Boat Race about a week later. This year, due to the SARS attack, the international race has been canceled.
The race at Stanley Beach has become one of the most popular for both local citizens and visitors in a past few years. Here are some very nice photos from this year’s Stanley Beech Dragon Boat Race event taken by a friend, Felix Lau.
