After just a couple of phone calls with Sunday’s tech support rep, I was able to confirm the correct way to setup GPRS dial-up with the Sony Ericsson GPRS PC Card Modem, the exact same connection speed is on any of their GPRS payment plans (tested and confirmed), as wells as SMTP server is not available through GPRS dial-up for security reasons. Also, the customer support rep called me back and confirmed my GPRS usage until 23:59:59 last night was in fact zero.
Although the SMTP bit is not a good news, nevertheless, it was confirmed. During all calls with Sunday’s both tech support rep and customer support reps, they have all been very helpful and sincere on the phone, and they did reply all my calls and questions like they said they would.
They have also recently reduced the service plan prices on both Melinda’s and my calling plans to be below their advertized plans without my request, which is something CSL1010, One2Free, and Orange have to learn from.
