After the crash at Hockenheim right after the start of last Sunday’s Formula 1 race involving Ralf Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello, and Kimi Raikkonan, FIA officials have decided to penalize Ralf for the incident by moving him 10 grid positions behind his next race. Ralf admitted that he ignored the locations of other cars on the track during his start.
IMO, it’s about time Ralf realizes that his style of driving not only jeopardizes his rival’s and his teammate’s life and race, it’s also jeopardizing his own life and race. Ralf was responsible for an accident which took out his own teammate, Juan Pablo Montoya, last season at Indianapolis. Last Sunday’s incident damaged Ralf’s own car and had to be removed from the race which destroyed a really good chance for the William’s team to get their 3rd 1-2 finish of the season, which would have put William’s ahead of Ferrari in the Constructor’s Championship.
William’s is now only 2 points behind Ferreri with 4 races to go in this season.
