English Al Jazeera is Back On-line

I agree with the PhotoDude here. It is good to have both sides of the story once again. I have been waiting for Al Jazeera to bring back their English site ever since the war had ended its service.

Smoky Noise Noisy Smoke

Tea1.jpg

An egg salad finger sandwich, a glass of mixed fruit flavoured ice tea, and a couple of photo magazines. I was all set for a nice and quiet tea break yesterday after work at this cozy little cafe with just six small tables in Mongkok while waiting for Melinda to pick me up after Alec’s swimming lesson. There were only two seperate guests there having some food quietly when I walked in.

Just when I was about to eat after reading through a couple of pages and started enjoying the moment, there was a group of 4 guests walked in and asked if smoking was allowed. There I thought my nice break had just ended after only 5 minutes.

Sure enough, these 4 people started introducing some sort of cosmetics to each other while talking really loud.

5 minutes later another couple of guests walked in, sat down, and was discussing what to eat and drink really loud as well. “What would you like to drink AH?!”, one said. “Ice lemon tea la~!”, the other replied. “AIYA~~!! There are so many different kinds of tea here to choose from AH~! And you want the usual?!”; “I don’t like the other kind AMAH~~!!”…

And then the group of 4 started chain smoking while still talking really loud…

Screw this idea I thought, and luckily Melinda just got there in time.

It is times like these that I really miss Canada.
