Remember “Bit” From the Movie Tron?

The star that hovered over Flint’s shoulder that can only say yes or no?

Introducing the PSA - Personal Satellite Assistant. The PSA could be the real life version of Bit from NASA which does a lot more than just saying yes and no.

International Rescue is In Action Again

Directed by none other than our Number One - Commander William Riker (Jonathan Frakes ST:TNG), Thunderbirds the movie will soon be in the theaters in July, 2004.

Thunderbirds was a TV puppet show featured in the 60’s about a family team of rescue workers, called the “International Rescue”, in the year 2065 with awesome vehicles, including my favorite Thunderbird Number 2 which can carry other smaller vehicles in its belly container.

Not sure how I would feel about this movie with live actors instead of puppets.

Lazy Speech

ON RTHK 1 radio station just now, the hosts are interviewing Little Gordon, the boy with Leukemia some 10 years back whom the entire world of Chinese were helping to find the right bone marrow for his cure. While Little Gordon is cured and living overseas now, he is apparently back in Hong Kong on holidays.

The male radio host wanted to ask when Gordon will leave Hong Kong, he asked - “When will you live?” !

Quite obviously, Little Gordon is living now.

Anita Mui is Dead

2:50am this morning, Hong Kong female singer actress superstar Anita Mui is dead. Age 40.

An extremely “rocking” year for the entertainment business in Hong Kong as we have lost several stars this year.

Children’s Fun Fare

As previous years, we were at KTC’s annual Children Christmas Fun Fare yesterday. This year, there was a slight twist to the occasion, a girl whom Alec met last year at the KTC.

When we got there, while mom was purchasing entry tickets for Alec and his cousins, the girl with her mom was at the counter debating whether the girl could go to the fare on her own while the mother attend to her other chores away from the club. The girl did not want to go on her own, but the lady at the counter told her that Alec would also be there. So she agreed to stay and accompany Alec.

When the fare started, I saw Alec and the girl were holding hands. During the fare, Alec was moving from one game counter to another while the girl was following him all over and they chatted quite a bit. At one time I saw the girl had curled her arm around Alec’s just like an adult couple would do and they smiled and talked more.

During the second half of the fare where they were serving sandwiches, chips, and drinks, I guess the girl got too hungry and tired and wanted to have something to eat. Yet Alec still wanted to go for the games and tried to get some more prizes. So the girl asked me to get her a seat. When I showed her a seat, she immediately grabbed another one next to her’s and told me that one was for Alec and asked me to put Alec’s tea set on that seat.

Although we went separate ways home afterwards, the entire experience was probably sweeter for me to have watched than Alec felt about it in which I even forgot to take their handholding pictures. ^_^

Hong Kong News This Morning

The police and the Special Defense Unit has captured a man in an apartment unit which is rumored to be containing large amount of weapons such as machine guns and hand grenades. In the police *sealed* area, we see reporters running around taking videos and pictures and ATV news reporters were right at the building gate before the capture. We also see three SDU personnel telling the reporters nicely to get off the sealed area.

God forbid if there were to be a big gun fight, if those reporters were not killed by the cross fires the SDU should shoot those moron reporters down anyway.

US News This Morning

US found it’s first possible case of Mad Cow Disease, ATV news relayed Reuters’:
“Veneman said she spoke with U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge. ‘I would emphasize that based on the information available this incident is not terrorist related…’”

L.A. may have more residue seismic activities from the big earthquake yesterday.
Based on the information available this incident is not terrorist related.

President Bush has a lot of booger.
Based on the information available this incident is not terrorist related.

Buncha idiots.

The Big Four O

Just had a nice fine dinner at the Saddle’s Kitchen with Melinda and Alec, and then more Christmas shopping. Which ended the otherwise quite a regular uneventful weekday.

Triple O’s by White Spot

White Spot’s Triple “O” sauce burger from Vancouver Canada is now available in Hong Kong. Triple O’s by White Spot is located in The Great food fair, underground level of Seibu department store at the Pacific Place Mall, Hong Kong Island.

Instead of the home style White Spot restaurant, Triple O’s by White Spot is a fast food style burger joint where one has to order at the counter but the waitress would bring you the food once they’re done. Although the burger is unmistakably White Spot’s, I miss the home style patio like seating of the original White Spot restaurant as well as their other dishes.

HK$38 is quite steep for a fast food mushroom burger especially for a fellow Kowlooner, but it is every bit as good if not better than Dan Ryan’s HK$99 one albeit Dan Ryan’s restaurant burger and seating.

If I happened to be at Pacific Place I would go for one, but I doubt I would go specifically for it all the way from Kowloon.

Regain My Bathroom

The replacement of the bathtub was done a couple of days ago, but the clogging hadn’t completely dried until this morning. So the maid spent today cleaning it.
