A documentary about teenage body builders was on TV last night. They are 18 or 19 year old boys who wanted to pursuit a career in professional body building.
Like most other ambitious kids, there is one common problem with these kids as well - they don’t know how to lose. While they strive to become winners by heavy training and dieting for a few months at a time, they turned out to be nothing more than losers. Steroids was the main problem which turn them into bunch of bad tempered sadists.
Every caring questions by other family members were taken as either hostile threads or “dumb” questions. Questions like “What are you bring for food?”, “40lbs OF POTATOES! IN MY SUITCASE!”. “Are you going to take that 40lbs of potatoes across the state border in your suitcase and while there seems to be some sort of law preventing large amount of agricultural products being transfer to different states privately?”. Answers from the body building kid then were just “WATCH ME!…WATCH ME!…WATCH ME!…”. “Are you sure other body builders are bringing the same over and not buying when they get there” - “OH! I AM NOT EVEN GONNA TALK TO YOU!”
Yeah, let’s watch how you get trapped at the border crossing and screw up your plans to become a winner.
And when they announced the one that came in third, you could just see his face was all tensed up and shaking his head not agreeing with the judges’ call that his body was in fact miles behind the winner’s and the runner-up’s.
While the girlfriend had been very supportive, she was getting yelled at all the time, treated like slaves during the guys training, and the girlfriend was pretty fed up with the boyfriend’s change of temper to the worse, right after he came in second, she was there hugging him, comforting him with a smile and telling him in front of the camera that he is still young and has many many years ahead of him still for improvements.
Hey girl, are you sure you wanted to smile for that many many years of bad temper to come?
While you are at it building your bodies, boys, build some brains and characters as well.
Our server was down over the weekend almost right after Tin had hooked his Phone from Hell into the server. The problem was not directly related to the PFH; but somehow for some unknown reasons that cannot be explained other than the fact that the PFH was hooded up to it before the pair of mirrored harddisks got knocked out!
Thanks to Tin’s hard work over the weekend, he had the server up and running this morning.
While I suggested we should probably have the server mirrored, Tin thought he should either throw the PFH into the sea or send it to the region’s CE TCH. When I asked Tin whether he is prepared not to eat fish for good, that left him with none but the only other choice….

It is that time of the year again. The Hong Kong International Rugby 7 Tournament. As usual, members of the staff of Shawnigan Lake School are in the Region to watch the tournament. This year, Steve and the Headmaster Dave came over and we had a small casual dinner with Vincent Chui, John O’Brien, and yours truly in a restaurant near the Hong Kong Stadium where the rugby tournament takes place.
While some of the alumnus we had contacted could not make it to the dinner, Cornel Kwan, Joyce Yen and Edmund Poon came over after dinner for a chat. Although Edmund was exhausted after the return flight that evening from his business trip to the Mainland China and fell asleep at home when I contacted him, Edmund was nice enough to drive for 30 minutes over to meet us! That’s the Shawnigan Spirit!
On behalf of the alumnus, I would like to thank Steve and Dave for the dinner. We all had a great time, and we were glad to meet John O’Brien, Lake’s ‘73, who is on a 3 year contract work in the Region. We all promised to meet again soon on our own.

Basically, the resultant feelings after an election boil down to nothing but something like:
“Ah~, the fuck with it.”,
“Yeaha! Alright, screw you! (with the mid bird)”, and
“Screw you too! (with the high bird)”.

A few years ago, when Jenson Button was Ralf Schumacher’s apprentice in Team Williams, I took a good look at his driving and made a far fetched claim that Button would become the first man to beat Michael Schumacher’s championship. Button had since then went on to less strong teams like Benetton and his current team BAR while no one has been able to beat Michael’s championship still.
Button, who had consistently beaten his team-mate former Formula 1 Champion Jacques Villeneuve last year, hasn’t beaten Michael just yet; but he came in third, his first podium finish, today behind Michael and Montoya. Had it not been an engine problem last year towards the last 2 laps, this would have been his second podium finish with a car supposedly far less powerful than the top runners.
Had he still be in a top runner car like a Williams BMW, my claim would not be as far fetched as it may seem. Favorably though, for Button, BAR Honda has come a long way and turn the team around to become a formidable runner.
Way to go Button and BAR. Congratulations!

Whahaha!
Team McLaren’s F1 driver David Coulthard said here, during an interview with him and Team Williams’ F1 driver Ralf Schumacher,…
“Q: (Stan Piecha - The Sun):Ralf, after Melbourne Juan Pablo was quoted as saying you nearly had him off the track. Do you have anything to say on that?
RS: Um, the only thing I have to say is that it was a pretty strong move and next time I WILL have him off the track.
DC: Phew, thats brilliant! Oh, sorry, I was just meant to think that! I was thinking how mild the question was, because I was thinking you would have said something a bit more like Juan Pablo said you were an idiot… you know, really wind him up, but you didnt need to! ”
“Q: But is Renault true? Is Toyota true? Have you been talking to all these people?
RS: At the moment I am talking to BMW-Williams, that is the team where I am and where I would like to stay and we are still talking about it. That is all I can say.
Q: David, should you leave McLaren, would you consider one of the vacancies, should there be two, at Williams?
DC: Yeah Ralf, hurry up and make a decision, for Gods sake! Yeah, it is my intention to be on the grid next year and obviously that means finding the most competitive drive I can other than McLaren, because McLarens position is quite clear. “
WhaUSay?!
