From Hero to Zero

Today at the Nurburgring, Takuma Sato was in third coming out of his last pit stop with about 10 laps to go right behind the second car which was Barrichello’s. Takuma went to the inside of the first corner trying to overtake Barrichello while Barrichello was closing the door on him and he crashed into Barrichello damaging his own wing and had to come in for a wing replacement. A couple of laps later, Takuma’s engine blew, presumably from overheating his engine waiting for the ring replacement.

Dumb rookie!

Had Takuma stayed cool, he would have been the first Asian ever on the F1 podium.

Back to last week’s Schumacher Montoya incident. Just about everywhere on the net is saying Montoya crashed into Schumacher. When in fact while the tunnel was just over 4 car’s width wide and Montoya had to go to the inside of the turn touching the side of the tunnel to avoid Schumacher’s sudden lockup of his breaks while kept on closing the door and crashed into Montoya leaving Montoya no way to go. Schumacher did not have to close the door and could have gone wide to avoid the entire incident as the Pace Car was on the track and no one was allowed to pass or would have to relinquish the gain even if a pass were made or else face a penalty. So there was no way Montoya could have gained anything on Schumacher for the race at that moment anyway.

Dumb vetaran!

And ahhh oh yeah Ralf, take a driving lesson would ya?!
