You might think one could get away with this for two months every year for summer vacations indefinitely…
Fool them once, shame on him.
Fool them twice, shame on her.
Fool them three times, makes a jackass out of himself and pisses her off.
Either way he wins. Severence pay for contract termination could be enough to pay off some debts. The reason for no one else dares to touch such a vicious tardy person could easily be turned and explained by other means towards his own advantages just like the way he explained his previous exits.
Smart plan indeed. But now, the truth is out. Too bad his reasons ain’t the truth and no one actually shuts him up permanently. He is still yapping his way through freely.
If you are talking about Tai Pan, well for one he was on two months annual leave and three months leave _without_ salary, and the total five months’ leave was approved by the COO Tony Choi. Second he is in very healthy financial situation, it was Yuk Man who’s still in debt paying off the printing bill for his Mad Dog Daily (good man, he could have used a limited liability company to publish his newspaper and bears no personal financial liability.)
As for Winnie Yu, I think she was talking much bull, but I am going to give her a lot of allowance for crap, as she has to deal w/ a much bigger chess/go board. The way I see it, it was a corporate decision for the long run, and she was merely trying to turn it around to their benefit.
With a come back date date scheduled, it is a holiday nonetheless afterall.
