This evening here in Hong Kong, Vincent Chui, Richard Chang, Denny Chan, Edmund Poon, Joyce Yen, Peter Yuen and myself welcome Steve Housser and Judy Detchon from SLS. Edmund was once again so nice to take the initiative and made dinner arrangements for us at the WoodStone, Causeway Bay.
Dinner was stomach full with stunning fusion cuisines. I was too busy eating so and only took photos of two dishes of what seemed to be endless number of dishes. Although we have only shared 3 bottles of red wine, we had lots of fun chatting. As it turned out, Peter Yuen and I actually went to the same Primary as well as Secondary School here in Hong Kong before we went to SLS!
Toward the end and just before two more dishes of desserts, we put up a white table cloth on the wall and Steve showed us a SLS short film and several photos of the members of the school with his notebook computer and portable digital projector.
During the event, I have asked Steve to give my contact info to current and future SLS Grads from Hong Kong before their graduations in hopes that we could keep better contacts with them for future gatherings. While we miss all those who weren’t able to join us this evening, we wish to gather as many SLOB’s and SLOG’s as possible in the future.
Hi James – great work and fast! Some good pictures too. Thanksa so much for everything. Cheers, Steve. PS – what is the program you use to set up the pictures the way you do?
Hi Steve,
This one here with the write-up, comments and all is done with MovableType http://www.movabletype.org/ , which is a weblog application where once it is setup, one can simply upload photos, type messages, then save and post without any further programming necessary for each post.
The one with the full size photos was done with Picasa http://www.picasa.com/picasa/ , an album generating program in which it scans your entire harddisk for any photos, allows you to classify each photo or group them together, and generate webpage albums from selected photos like the one I sent you.
