Toward to end of the first page of the LetsGoDigital review on the Fuji FinePix S3Pro digital SLR camera, it wrote…
“… Another improvement is the flash system, Fujifilm now also uses Nikon’s D-TTL metering. So a so-called DX flash unit is required. …”
The Nikon DX flash/Nikon DSLR body combo is one of the worst, buggiest, and finicky flash setup in the industry.
Ever since Nikon started with DSLR, their flash system has been modified, which requires a new coupling with their DSLR bodies, has never work nearly as well as they did in their film bodies. Problems are under and over exposed properly setup flash photos as well as some photos with the shutter never even opened. Even with manual flash settings where Nikon claimed their DSLRs would work with, never did. I suspect it is a problem with the shutter synchronization.
Coupling with the DX flash system is the worst idea of all time!
