flickr

A photo storage site. Here is my flickr site.

It seems to be fairly comprehensive. Free Account holders are limited by the monthly uploading bandwidth of 10MB/mth instead of storage space, and only the most recent 100 photos are listed with the rest stored safely for linked URLs. Photos can be tagged, add comments, grouped and blogged to your blog. Online upload as well as PC/Mac upload utility programs and plug-ins can be downloaded, and mobloggers can even upload photos via email. Optionally, Pro accounts with 1GB monthly uploading bandwidth and unlimited listed photos are available for purchase.

The upload utility programs (for both Win and Mac) are pretty neat. For HK$326/year the Pro account is very good. If I didn’t have web server facility I would definitely sign up for it. The software and the convenience are well worth the annual fee, but somehow I am just not too keen to pay for something superior when I am already paying for something else that somewhat does the job.

It would be nice to be able to post photos on the spot via email. Unfortunately the Nokia 6230 simply can’t send photos via email at all, so neither flickr or anything else would help.
