		<description>The horse was smiling...

We are the Adam&#039;s family.

Actually, I was more eager to test the functions and ability of the Nikon Coolpix 7900 than to do any real photography. Also, eating outside that day wasn&#039;t such a good idea after all as there were zero wind during the entire lunch.

As for the Coolpix 7900, at HKD$3.3K for a 7MPix &quot;silly&quot; P&amp;S DC wasn&#039;t bad. AWB is one of the best I have seen in any DC except when switched from full auto to the Portrait Shooting Mode which for some unknown reasons turns all faces pink. Maybe it&#039;s Pink Panther hit for Nikon this season.

So, even though the Face Focus Mode (only available within the Portrait Shooting Mode), which locks on to a face no matter where the face is moved with the viewer forward or back, was a great idea, pink faces renders it rather useless.

Sport Spectator Shooting Mode fixed focus to a DoF of 4m-inf while allowing instant shutter release, also locks out the flash and switch to continuous (1.7fps) drive mode; which is great for snapshots.

Although the CP7900 is still not perfect, so far I am very happy with the overall image quality of the CP7900; perhaps more so than any P&amp;S DC I have ever owned. Function wise though, I still like the CP995 best.
