My tube amp has minor problem in the selector. I couldn't protect it from the little monster in my house, so I decided to give it to my little brother who can better use it. Now I only connected a 20 years old receiver-amp to my SF. Sound is crap.

What happened to your tube amp? Speakers have to be used to last, otherwise they would rot away. I have lost several pairs of speakers by just letting them sit for a couple of years. Whereas my pair of SF is being used daily for the last 11 years and still sounding great. Don't let your pair of SF sit.
