I have placed an order for a Black 4GB iPod nano late last Thursday afternoon, the day it was launched, with free shipping and engraving done through the online Apple Shop Hong Kong. When I ordered the mini for M last May, it too had a 3-5 day shipment period but was delivered after only 2-1/2 days. This time around, the 3-5 day is almost over and it has only shown “preparing for shipment” just now in the order status after a few days of “processing order”.
After getting the Pink 4GB iPod mini for M last May, I realized 4GB may not be enough for me and had thought about getting the 6GB mini for its smaller size than the iPod or the iPod for its storage of my entire music library. As soon as the nano was launched, the sheer tiny size and the great price was simply irresistibly good. Think of it, 4GB of a semi fast CF or SD flash card by itself could run around HKD$2000. For that price, you’d get the flash memory + battery, an iPod to go, free iTune, support for both PC and Mac, and spare change! Considering Korean/Taiwanese MP3 players with either no software or support PC only running at around HKD$1700 for 1GB, the nano could rock the boat of other flash memory MP3 player market and possibly sink it for good!
I’ll just have to either organize my playlist a hell of lot better or get 3 other black nanos to complete a hand of “Pai Gou“.
