Those of you who want to hook-up your iPods to your car stereos but don’t want to spend HKD$2K just to retrofit a dedicated iPod connection look no further. The XMio FM883P FM transmitter is it. The only FM transmitter that I can find that has PLL Synthesizer making sure the transmitting frequency is spot on without any shift due to temperature changes.
All other famous big brand transmitters designed for the iPod, costing over HKD$400 even, do not seem to have this PLL feature and therefore one could never get a “hissless” reception.
The X-Mio is a full range transmitter which means you can set it to any frequency in the FM band. It works with 3 AAA batteries and comes with a cigarette lighter power adapter and a USB power adapter.
