ISP – What a Drag!

Just now, I was not able to login my broadband account which was OK this morning, and there was a change password notice from my ISP prompted me to change my login password.

The was no previous announcement whatsoever and there was no help desk number listed on the webpage. I had to call a friend to get into the ISP website and read me the help desk number, as, first of all I had forgotten my login password for my wireless router login for me daily, and secondly, I had noway of knowing whether the change password webpage was legit beside the two very realistic ISP and phone company logos which could have been copied from anywhere and pasted on to any webpage.

It turned out that the change of password notice and requirement was legit. Now M must be stuck with that same page at home and won’t be able to do anything about it until I get home, as I would have to change the password within the wireless router as well.

I hope this sort of ISP shenanigans don’t happen with business broadband accounts.

Lyrics Listing on iPod nano

The new iTunes 5 and iPod nano support lyrics listing during a playing song. However, it took me a while to find out exactly how to list the lyrics on the nano. Here is how…

With iTunes 5 or later, select a song that you want to add the lyrics to, go to the File menu and select Get Info. There is a Lyrics tab within Get Info of the song and that’s where you can save the lyrics for that particular song. After the lyrics have been added to all the songs you desire, update the iPod nano. While playing the song on the iPod nano, on the Now Playing screen tap (press but not hold) the Centre button a couple of times until you see the lyrics. To exit the lyrics screen, keep tapping the Centre button until you get back to the Now Playing screen.
