Well Said…

When former Chief Secretary of Hong Kong, Anson Chan, was asked in an interview whether the accountability system will undermine the power of the chief secretary, Chan said: “Power only offers you an opportunity to serve the citizens, to govern Hong Kong more efficiently and properly. Power per se is not an end. The government should not focus on an individual. The leaving or staying of an individual is not important, the essence is that the citizens expect an efficient management system.”

That’s well said by Anson.

The rest of what she said in the same report however are all mumbojumbos.

Anson had the chance to make a difference, but she chose to bail out. Now that she is not responsible for anything, she’s all talk. I’d say let her come back to take a shot at “the title” and see how she fails miserably once again like she did overseeing the building of the new airport project.
