Rainy season is here. Umbrellas are no good for photography in the rain. Introducing Montbell’s Neige Cruiser Jacket made with Breeze Dry-Tec . This is a waterproof jacket, not a windbreaker. It is less expensive, lighter, and softer than an equivalent GORE-TEX jacket.
The nice features of the Neige Cruiser Jacket are:
1. Breeze Dry-Tec is more breathable than GORE-TEX.
2. pit zippers on both underarms that can be unzipped for extra “breathablity”.
3. the lining has a cooling effect which feels like just walked into an air-conditioned room.
4. adjustable hat that doesn’t block your peripheral visions.
5. adjustable openings that can block cold breeze effectively.
Wearing it doesn’t have that stuffy feel with cheap raincoats. I bought one a few days ago when it was raining on the way home and I have just bought another one for Alec last night. Men’s Medium fits me just right. Although Men’s Small (no X-Small were made) is large for Alec, with the adjustable sleeve opening it fits Alec like a medium jacket which is perfect to cover the pants above the knees. It should last Alec many years to come.
