It’s a pain in the butt trying to mix Chinese characters and English letters in a MovableType blog with a Mac. They simply don’t mix even with Firefox instead of Safari. I had to use a PC to write my last blog. I wonder if it is a problem with MT or Mac OS but then again I am only using an older version of both.
For the last few years, there has been some arguments between fellow photographers as to which flash memory format has the fastest specification. After the 20MB/s or 133X spec with both CF and SD formats, there was the 22MB/s or 150X spec that came out in SD format just slightly earlier than in CF format which was currently the fastest spec.

Sandisk has just announced the Extreme IV CF cards in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB sizes. These are rated at a “minimum read and write speed” of a whopping 40MB/s!
until it stops hurting. That’s what it feels like talking to dad.
A conversation with dad as he was trying to find a song or an album that contains the country oldie and had me typing out a song list that he collected by consolidating his Karaoke selection from different Karaoke discs….
Dad: Can you buy the song XYZ which you had searched and found through iTunes?
Me: Not unless we have a foreign credit card but even then, it plays on computers fine but there’s no guarantee that it would work with all MP3 players or CD players.
Dad: Forget it then, I’ll just find it at HMV.
Me: But we could still search which album exactly that contains the song so we HMV could place an order for it.
Dad: No, it’ll be in HMV.
Me: If you don’t know the album or the artist’s name, HMV’s staff may not be able to find it.
Dad: Nah, HMV will have it; as long as I go over, even I could find it.
Me: How do you plan to search for a single song only by it’s name? And even if you did find it how do you know it is the version you wanted as it could be fast, slow, male vocal, female vocal or even just music only?
Dad: It wouldn’t matter, I know how to sing the song anyway..
Me: (While typing the list) Hey isn’t this the song? You already have it!
Dad: Yeah but that’s just a Karaoke.
Me: So?
Dad: I don’t know how it’s sung.
Hauh?!
This is just one of many similar daily conversations with dad.
Over 70 wounded marks, had been stuck with a towel in the month, had been hung invertedly, had been put in the refrigerator, and had been shaken to death! The parents pleaded guilty and said it was due to financial pressure and that the mother is now pregnant as well in hopes of a reduced sentence but the judge ruled each parent 10 year imprisonment.
I say do on to them as they did on to others. Bring on their torture tools!

It’s been reported that Formula 1 Team McLaren driver Juan Pablo Montoya will not be racing in F1 anymore starting with this week’s race in Magny Cours.
I have always been a fan of Monty during his days with Team Williams-BMW but not since he had moved to Team McLaren-Mercedes. (Which goes to show just how much I dislike Mercedes-Benz drivers.) However, I am sure Formula 1 would never be as exciting without JPM.
I have noticed for quite some time that if you do a search on either, Google, Yahoo, of MSN with James Mok, this site would be the first item on all three search result lists. Just when I have told a friend about this site, saving from reading the URL I have told the friend to simply do a search on my name in either search engines and the first one would be it, I have just found that it has slipped way down on Yahoo.
While it is still the first item on the other two search engine results as well as the Hong Kong Yahoo site, this slip in Yahoo might become a minor inconvenient for me. I don’t know why it remains on top with others but Yahoo but my recent tardiness in updating this site might have something to do with it.
Perhaps flickr has taken up too much of me away from this site. Or perhaps I have just become an even more boring person than before. At any rate, I’ll try to write more; if not for the search results, for the up keeping with my writing practice.
